Applisonix is the first safe and clinically proven long-term hair removal solution that offers a ground breaking hair removal system that incorporates advanced ultrasound technology to destroy hair follicles without the limitations of hair or skin colour. It can be used on suntanned skin and pigmented areas such as nipples and hair growing through a tattoo.
The procedure is very simple and involves an ultrasonic head which is used to focus acoustic energy directly into the hair shaft, channelling ultrasonic energy precisely to each hair root where it is converted into heat, killing the root and preventing any re-growth. It is virtually painless as the ultrasound waves do not dissipate into the surrounding skin which contains the main pain receptors.
The hairs are treated individually allowing precise eyebrow contouring and pain free treatment of sensitive areas like the upper lip, chin, underarms and bikini line. This treatment is unique in that it is safe and free of side effects.
The Applisonix can be used on it’s own to treat a specific area or to complement your existing hair removal method. For example, if you are having laser hair removal to your face, the Applisonix can be used to remove white or grey hairs that the laser can’t.
As hair grows in cycles, a course of treatments is recommended, usually six to ten, to ensure that the hair bulb is destroyed during the anagen stage. We do not offer a price for a course of treatments as you can return whenever your hair grows to the necessary length (0.3mm). As more hair is destroyed, the treatment time becomes shorter. Unlike laser, a patch test is not required so following an in depth consultation, you can proceed to treatment on the same day. Following treatment, we ask that you do not thread, wax or tweeze the hair as these methods remove the hair from the root which then delays regrowth and treatment.
